The Edge of Land
The Edge of Land brings together the extraordinary landscape photography of internationally acclaimed photographer and filmmaker Andy Lee and the monumental sculpture of Isobel Kidd in an exploration of landscape as a place of continual transformation.
Lee’s photography moves between sweeping aerial perspectives and intimate studies of the natural world, revealing landscapes of remarkable abstraction, where water, sediment, light and geological forces create compositions of extraordinary visual complexity. His work challenges our perception of scale, transforming familiar natural forms into unexpected and often enigmatic images.
Kidd’s sculptural investigations focus on the exposed geological strata of the Pembrokeshire coastline, where ancient formations, fractured surfaces and the forces of erosion reveal the complex physical history of the land. Through shifts in scale and material, these geological structures are reimagined as powerful sculptural forms.
Together, the artists challenge conventional perceptions of landscape, revealing the edge of land not as a fixed geographical boundary, but as a place of instability, transformation and continuous renewal.
